Now, I want to talk about the mattresses themselves and break down exactly what makes them so special. Let’s begin with the Saatva mattress.
Saatva
The Saatva is a coil mattress that features soft foam and two sets of coils. The Saatva has a Euro Top, similar to what we would find on a hotel mattress. Customers can choose their desired firmness: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, and Firm. They can also choose between an 11.5″ model (Custom Slim) and a 14.5″ model (Premier Luxury). We reviewed the Luxury Firm, Custom Slim model and think it is a great fit for combination sleepers, hot sleepers, and those who want a great value mattress. It is also one of the best mattresses for back sleepers.
Loom & Leaf
The Loom & Leaf is Saatva’s high-end take on the memory foam mattress. The mattress contains multiple layers of durable, high-density memory foam. Low-density memory foams are prone to sagging, but this should not be an issue with the Loom & Leaf. The Loom & Leaf is available in two firmnesses: Relaxed Firm and Firm. Warranty and Customer Service Terms
One of the benefits of buying a mattress in a store is that it is possible to try out the mattress before purchasing it. With a bed-in-a-box mattress like the Saatva, this is not an option.
That being said, Saatva’s sleep trials and warranties should ease the mind of any skeptical shopper. Their 365-night sleep trial gives customers a full year to try out the Saatva mattress. That is much longer than the few minutes a mattress store allows! If the Saatva mattress isn’t a good fit, it is easy to send back, and they only charge a $99 processing fee.
Also, the Saatva mattresses come with a lifetime mattress warranty that will cover any defects in the mattress. In the first 2 years of the warranty, Saatva will completely replace any defective mattress. After that, for $149, they will repair and re-cover the mattress.
