I cannot stand tiny little knot balls rubbing up against my skin without going insane. With this high price tag and raving reviews, I figured it’d be a good investment. I made my first purchase in July and the sheets were amazing. The quality seemed good enough within these few months to invest in a second set to rotate out. I particularly liked the softness and breath-ability. This time I got the same classic style, except in the color white. I don’t know what is different with this set, but it hasn’t been a week yet since I put them on and they are already pilling in the bum area. I’m so furious that I just plopped down another 100+ dollars on sheets that I won’t even be using. I now can see how there are mixed reviews. It seems that they sell mixed quality products.

Comment on Sleep Number Bed Warranty: What You Need to Know by jim adcox https://www.mattressclarity.com/blog/sleep-number-bed-warranty-need-know/comment-page-1/#comment-93988 Fri, 01 Nov 2019 15:35:35 +0000 https://www.mattressclarity.com/?p=7078#comment-93988 I’ve been researching to replace our old memory foam mattress. I’ve tried a couple so far, and have not been happy. ugh…

I just went to the Sleep Number site and saw that 25 year warranty! Wow! that is awesome I was thinking.

Then I read the fine print!

It is a 100% scam! There is not 25 year warranty!

After the first 2 years, all bets are off. The entire cost for you in the future is an unknown. They can charge you what ever they want to make the price to be, and then you pay a percentage of the “new” unknown cost.

That is a nightmare waiting to happen.

Being a person who manufactures and sales a product to a customer, I would be lying to my customers if I tired to sell them a scam like that.

After 20 years the air bags could need to be replaced but you’ll have to contact Sleep Number’s customer service directly to see what they’d recommend!

Hello, just to be clear this is a site that focuses on mattress and other sleep product reviews- we’re not affiliated with Sleep Number in any way.

Comment on Sleep Number Bed Review (2023) – The Complete Guide by Sharon Phillips https://www.mattressclarity.com/reviews/sleep-number/comment-page-8/#comment-91107 Mon, 21 Oct 2019 21:06:59 +0000 https://www.mattressclarity.com/?p=7143#comment-91107 I so much wanted to love this bed. But I will never buy or recommend Sleep Number to anyone. After 2 months of ownership here’s what I’ve experienced.
-Salesperson bragged about 100 day return policy. She touted how straightforward the process was and that there was no restocking or delivery fee. She forgot to mention that the adjustable base isn’t included in the 100 day trial.
-Delivery/setup service was just fair. They could not pair Sleep IQ with my network and knew nothing about the technology.
-After many calls to customer service I found out that Sleep IQ won’t pair with your smart phone unless you have a dedicated 2.4Ghz router. This was never mentioned during sales process….only how easy it was and that your smartphone would serve as your remote. My router supports 2.4-5Ghz but apparently Sleep IQ is not smart enough to handle that. Good thing I bought at least 1 remote when I purchased the bed. Funny side note…..one of the customer reps recommended plugging into the wall outlet, not surge protector. “What if there’s a lightening storm and the bed’s electrical gets fried,” I queried. “Would the bed still be covered by warranty?” No, she said. The bed is still plugged into the surge protector.
-Just washed the incredibly overpriced sheets for about the 6th time. Followed washing instructions exactly. I found a tear where sheet connects to elastic binding. Good thing there’s a 2 year warranty on sheets I thought! Here’s the deal….after you’ve used the warranty once, it’s no longer in effect. Since the sheet became defective after just a few washings, I think I’ll wait until they completely disintegrate before using the warranty.
-Sleep Number asked me to rate my satisfaction with my purchase. I was very restrained in my comments and said I was satisfied with the comfort level. But I did explain about the Sleep IQ/pairing issue so others would be aware of situation. My review was unacceptable according to their “standards,” none of which I broke.
On the positive side, the bed itself is pretty comfortable. But after reading these reviews I know it’s just a matter of time before something breaks. The whole after-the-sale experience has soured me on this company forever.

They are just glorified air mattresses like you take to the woods to camp out. After a year, the air went out of one side which resulted in my husband basically sleeping on the floor. When we called to get some help from the manufacturer, they wanted nothing to do with us.
I don’t care how many bells and whistles & thousands of dollars, they add to these beds, they are still air mattresses with no substance to support them.

For over a month I have not had one night of restful sleep. Every night I could not get comfortable in the bed. Every morning I wake up with throbbing pain in my lower back, hips, neck and shoulders. I had tried to adjust the sleep number setting every night, but to no avail. I am going to send the $5k mattress back for a $200 return fee. Also, the sleepIQ phone app never gives an accurate reading of my sleep. I am also stuck with a $1.1k FlexFit1 base that I cannot return and will most likely break down after the warranty expires. I am so disappointed in this divestment I made.

Comment on Sleep Number Bed Warranty: What You Need to Know by Richard Turner https://www.mattressclarity.com/blog/sleep-number-bed-warranty-need-know/comment-page-1/#comment-87104 Mon, 07 Oct 2019 00:32:29 +0000 https://www.mattressclarity.com/?p=7078#comment-87104 If you ever slept on an air mattress that gave you the ability to put more air in or take it out to make it more comfortable. The kind that you would use in a pool or at the lake and cost you a couple of bucks then you have the Sleep Number mattress. Add a couple of pieces of foam and that’s it. Payed $2800 for it and was never happy with it. Woke up with sore back all the time. Took it off the bed and replaced it but in moving it to another room caught the foam on the door and torn a small portion. Called Sleep Number to find out how much it cost to replace or repair. They wanted over $300. Repaired it myself with $25 spray adhesive and the repair was stronger than the original foam. Was it worth it, No – and technology behind it is a joke.
