Sleeping On The WinkBeds EcoCloud
We enjoyed back sleeping on the WinkBeds EcoCloud. The latex and coils both offer spinal support, while the wool and latex on top offer a touch of body contouring. Our hips sank into the mattress just a touch, which allowed for some pressure relief, but not so far that it pulled our spine out of alignment. Those who need the best mattress for back sleepers usually want to find such a balance of comfort and support.
We felt decent while side sleeping on this mattress. The wool on top of the bed offers some pressure relief right off the bat. We did feel a bit of pressure on our shoulder and hip, but it wasn’t extreme. Folks who only spend part of the night in this position should feel okay.
In our experience, the WinkBeds EcoCloud is not quite supportive enough for stomach sleeping. Our hips sank a bit too far into the mattress, which pulled the spine out of alignment. Folks who spend all night on their stomach should consider a dedicated mattress for stomach sleepers.
What Does The WinkBeds EcoCloud Feel Like?
Given that the WinkBeds EcoCloud contains both latex and coils, it’s probably not surprising that it has a bouncy feel. The mattress is very responsive, and it’s easy to move around and switch positions.
Average Weight Sleepers – 130lbs – 230lbs
Average-weight back sleepers should enjoy plenty of spinal support combined with a touch of pressure relief. Average-weight side sleepers could experience a bit of pressure around the shoulder and hip, but nothing extreme. If you need more pressure relief, consider one of the best mattresses for side sleepers. Average-weight stomach sleepers will probably want to look for a more supportive mattress.
Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs
Heavyweight back sleepers should experience a pleasant balance of spinal support and pressure relief on the WinkBeds EcoCloud. Heavyweight side sleepers will probably feel some pressure in this position because they’re likely to press through the softer layers into the firmer support layers underneath. Even though the mattress might feel a bit firmer to heavyweight side sleepers, it’s still too soft for heavyweight stomach sleepers, who will probably find that their hips bow too far into the mattress.

Lightweight back sleepers should enjoy a mixture of spinal support and pressure relief on this mattress. The primary support layer on the WinkBeds EcoCloud is made from zoned pocketed coils, which are highly supportive, breathable, and durable. The zoning is meant to make this bed more supportive where spinal support is needed most (near the center of the mattress) and softer near the head and foot (for extra pressure relief). The mattress also contains an “ExtraEdge Anti-Sag Support” system, meaning the coils are firmer toward the edge of the mattress.

As a general rule, latex doesn’t handle motion transfer very well, because it’s bouncy and responsive. This holds true for the EcoCloud. It doesn’t do a great job of minimizing disturbances across the surface of the mattress, so it’s possible that partners could feel each others’ movements during the night. Edge Support
The WinkBeds EcoCloud features excellent edge support thanks to its supportive latex and coils and the firmer coils near the edge. We felt secure while sitting and lying down near the edges of this mattress.
